Eighteen years of professional career, winner of innumerable pageants and titles, survivor of 9/11 terror attack at WTC, New York, the lady in talk has proved her mettle not only in UK but all around the world. Yes, we are talking about Adrija Biswas, an NRI based out in London.
Adrija is a firm believer of family values and culture. She asserts that what makes our family special is that through the generations they have been advocating women empowerment, girl education and stopping girl child marriage. We are a very humble and supportive family unit, selflessly serving others and we live by our core values of humanity, respect, love, peace, tolerance, acceptance, empathy and courage in everything we do.
Adrija Biswas is one of the luckiest person who survived the 9/11 attack at WTC, New York. That incident changed her perception towards life and strengthened her optimism towards everything she does. On her family front, she is blessed with amazing parents, brilliant sister, loving husband and 2 adorable children.
Life was never easy for Adrija. After being born and brought up in the glitz and glamour of Mumbai, having a cushioned life as a teen and later early marriage made her all happy. There was neither any understanding nor any thought to differentiate between good and evil in her life. The pain and agony as a young girl post early marriage made her stronger every day. She says, “I have been a single mother, seen love and deceit, fought legally at the highest level of governments in multiple countries and been on a roller coaster journey that completely has transformed me into a woman of substance that I am today.”
Adrija adds, “I am now re-married and my family plays an integral role in my life, meaning everything to me. Today, I am what I am because of my family and I try to pay forward these blessings by spreading hope and happiness amongst families and promoting peaceful families, societies and communities.”
She is the “Ambassador of Peace” bestowed by the Universal Peace Federation United Nations. She loves motivational speaking, singing, innovation, travel, meditation, philanthropy, which make her a balanced person.
Adrija is lovingly called “Queen of Hearts” by many women who feel she represents women from multi cultural backgrounds .She is an Inclusion and Diversity advocate, involved with CSR and UK Girls in STEM activities promoting women leadership, 50:50 gender balance as well as Mental Health awareness as a Mental Health Ally. She has been a practice lead for the Analyst Consulting Group and having mentored 200 analysts from diverse backgrounds. She enthusiastically says, “ it feels a great sense of achievement and experience knowing that I am shaping and developing the careers of these people, creating the next generation of leaders, building their confidence and gearing them for success in their careers.”
